What A Christmas!

Whew! Did we have a great Christmas or what?

I got lots of toys, including an easel with magnetic letters, a Dora Musical Step Mat, a Dora doll that's as big as I am, a set of twin dolls, lots and lots of clothes and a bunch more stuff I can't remember right now!

The best part about Christmas was getting to see all of my relatives from out of town! Cousin Abbey flew in from Texas with my Uncle Dan-Dan and Aunt Christy. We had a great time and it was fun to play with Abbey. She's like a real live doll baby! She doesn't do too much, though, except lie around and sleep a lot. Was I ever like that?

I also got to see McKinley, who just turned one year old! She lives in Memphis, but came all the way here to be with her grandparents and great-grandma for Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, we all went to Sears and had a family picture taken. Grammy says the photographer is the same one who used to take pictures of Daddy when he was a baby! She was real good because she made all of us laugh!

I hope you had a good Christmas, too, and are looking forward to the New Year. Did you know I'll be TWO YEARS OLD in 2007? I can't wait!

Is it December Already?

My, how time flies!

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at our house with lots of relatives and THIS YEAR, I got to sit in a booster seat with the big folks! No high chair or kiddie table for me!

We went to another mall to see another big Christmas tree and ran into Raggedy Ann and Andy. They sure are a lot bigger in person! (see photo below)

I've been able to sleep over at Granddaddy and Grammy's house a couple of times recently while Daddy and Mommy keep up their busy work schedules. As you can see by the photo, my hairdo leaves something to be desired first thing in the morning! But just give me my bowl of Cheerios and my cup of milk and let me sit in Granddaddy's lap to watch Sesame Street and I'm a Happy Camper!

Grammy and I work hard keeping the house clean when I'm over there. I just can't imagine WHO keeps making all the mess!

Christmas Before Thanksgiving?

Guess what? Mommy, Granddaddy, Grammy and I went to the mall the other night to see them light a giant Christmas tree! Daddy had to work. :-(

First, we had dinner (PBJ for me, thank you very much!). Then, we walked around to some of the stores while a barbershop men's choir sang songs next to the tree. A nice lady was handing out plastic sticks that light up to all of the children and she gave me one, too!

Then, when we sat down to rest, a boy came over from a candy shop and gave us all free caramel suckers! They lasted a long, long time! I also found out that they stick to your mittens if you're not careful!

Finally, at 7:00 p.m., the BIG MOMENT was here... Mommy gave me a boost onto her shoulder so I could see over the people's heads. Then, we all counted...10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 and the tree lit up with hundreds and hundreds of different-colored lights! It was so pretty! The choir sang Christmas songs and we had so much fun!

Today, I got to spend the afternoon with Granddaddy and Grammy because they had the day off from work. I even get to spend the night with them, so Mommy and Grandmommy can get an early start cooking in the morning! I'm going to watch the parades on TV with Granddaddy.

Then, we're all going to have the family Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow afternoon at our house! This year, they're going to let me eat some grown-up food like everybody else!

Trick or Treat!

Halloween THIS year was even better than LAST year! Can you believe it?

Maybe its because THIS year, I could walk and didn't have to be CARRIED everywhere! Free at last!

I got to wear my new Snow Queen costume and it was very warm and I was thankful for that because we spent a lot of time outside at night!

We went to the Fall Festival at Granddaddy and Grammy's church on Sunday night and I got to play lots of games and win lots of candy! I still like "picking up ducks" the best!

Then, on Halloween night, we want to another Fall Festival at a church just down the road. I got to ride on the Merry-Go-Round and pet animals in the petting zoo and we had a fun time!

We went by my cousin Caroline's house and she had on a Fairy Princess costume. We were quite a pair all dressed up in our outfits! (see photo below).

Then, we went over to Ma's house (one of my great-grandmas) and showed her my costume and she gave me something to eat. Then, we went over to my other Great Grandma's house and showed her my costume, too! She said I was just adorable!

This weekend, we're going to have Sunday lunch with Granddaddy and Grammy. Then, I have to sit on the couch between Daddy and Granddaddy to keep them apart while we watch the Cowboys and the Redskins play football on TV! I'm kinda outnumbered in this part of the country. (But, we secretly root for Dallas, don't we, Abbey?!?)

At The Great Pumpkin Patch!

Boy, did we have a great time at the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday! You shoulda been there!

We had so many people, we took up two whole vans full! I rode with Granddaddy and Grammy and Mommy drove our van with Grandma and three of my cousins, Chloe Rayne, Arion Storm and Raven Daye! Daddy joined us as soon as he got off work.

The Pumpkin Patch was HUGE! They had a petting zoo and arts and crafts and pony rides and train rides and duck races and marshmallow roasting and lots and lots of PUMPKINS!

They had big ones and little ones and even some green ones! We got to ride a hay wagon out to the fields and then we could pick out as many pumpkins as we wanted! We rode the wagon back to the main part of the patch and they weighed them and the grownups paid for them.

The weather was beautiful and so were all the colors of the leaves on the trees! I think we all had a great time! Good idea, Mommy!

I hope you like the pictures we took below. There's also one of my new set of magnetic letters and numbers I play with on Grammy's refrigerator. I have the same thing at my Great Grandma's apartment. It's lots of fun!

What A Weekend!

Daddy, Mommy and I went to Liberty University last weekend for their Homecoming and we had a BLAST!

On Saturday, we watched a football game and I got to pretend I was a cheerleader! Unfortunately, our team lost the game by one point!

On Sunday, we went to the new Thomas Road Baptist Church and I got to play in their playroom that looks just like Noah's Ark! They had a fun slide, but Mommy wouldn't go down it with me!

I also got to sit on Dr. Falwell's lap while they took a picture of him and me and Mommy. He's the founder of the University.

After all that activity, I was plumb tuckered out and snoozed on the way home.

THIS weekend, a bunch of my cousins are coming over and we're all going up to the Pumpkin Patch to pick some pumpkins! I'll try to post some photos for you afterward.

At The State Fair

Daddy, Mommy, Grandmom and I got to go to the State Fair last Sunday and boy, did we have a great time! The weather was perfect and we saw lots of animals and I got to play and play and play!

We saw a GI-NORMOUS cow and I bet she could make enough milk for me for a WHOLE YEAR! I got to ride on a pony for the first time. It didn't go too fast and Daddy walked around with me, so I felt safe, but it was fun!

We went into a baby animals barn and I saw some woo-woos (that's what I call doggies) in a fence. I also got to play in a big bin full of corn! (It was already off the cob and dried out, so it wasn't messy).

Mommy got me a new backpack that has a strap on it so they could let me walk around and not get lost. I walked around THE WHOLE FAIR! They brought a little stroller, but I didn't want to ride in it. When I got tired, I just sat down on the road. People walked by and laughed at me, but I didn't care. I was pooped!
