Communication!

Finally!

Now I can tell people what I want! For example, I woke up Saturday morning and said, "Want Ma!" and "Want Granddaddy!" So, Mommy and Daddy called to see if we could all have lunch on Sunday after church and that's just what we did! I got to see Ma (one of my great-grandmommies) and Granddaddy, as well as Grammy at the restaurant! They ordered mac 'n cheese for me to eat, but I liked snatching fries from Granddaddy's plate better! Grammy brought me a brand-new puzzle that I like putting together. It has an elephant and a butterfly and a bird and an apple! After lunch, we went to Ma's house and planted some little pine trees in her backyard. That was fun, because Granddaddy let me step on the shovel to help him out!

When we got to Granddaddy and Grammy's house, I walked inside and asked, "Where's Abbey? Where's Dan? and Where's Christy?" They were right there last time I was there, but I guess they went back home. We had fun together while they were here and I hope they come back soon!

Know what? Mommy and Daddy got me a tricycle for my birthday and Daddy put it together and they gave it to me two weeks early! Daddy's a good putter-together and he even did it while basketball was on TV!

I like to ride my new bicycle, but I also like to ride Daddy and Granddaddy when they pretend they're horsies! Granddaddy only takes me for rides on the carpet, 'cause he says the tiles hurt his knees!

Yep, my birthday's coming up and I'm going to be TWO YEARS OLD! Can you believe it?

Speaking in Sentences!

Hi!

Just thought I'd update you on my latest trick...talking in sentences! Here are a few of my favorites:

I hungry!
I hot!
I want pizza!
I wanna go nite-nite!
Where Daddy? (Mommy, Granddaddy, Ma, etc.)
I wanna read!

The grownups get quite a laugh out of hearing me talk, so I try to do it as often as possible!

Yesterday, Grammy and Granddaddy came over to fix some shingles that had blown off of our roof. Grammy was praying while Granddaddy was up on the ladder, but he got down okay. He even kissed the ground when he was through!

We went out to eat last night and I got a little pizza and some applesauce (that's my favorite!)

Then, we went to Babies R Us and Mommy and Grammy took me in the bathroom to change my diaper. We had lots of fun! Let's just say I did an imitation of the fountain of youth between diapers! The funniest part was when Grammy put my coat down on the sink and it had one of those automatic faucets and the water turned on and soaked my coat! Daddy and Granddaddy were waiting outside, but they couldn't figure out what all the laughing was about in the bathroom!

I can't WAIT until Wednesday, when cousin Abbey comes in from Texas! I'm going to try to teach her to talk like do! We'll take some pictures and put them on the site next time.
