To the Shore!

Now that my digestive system is back on track (don't go there, it's not ladylike), I'm packing for my first trip to the beach!

Mom, Dad, Granddaddy, Grandmother, Uncle Dan, Aunt Christy and I will be sharing a beach house at Nags Head next week!

I don't really know what a "beach" is, but I've noticed Mom packing a lot of lotions, hats, umbrellas and other stuff. Beach must be like court because I've seen Michael Jackson going to a courthouse with the same stuff on TV!

The house we're staying in has everything EXCEPT the Internet, so I'll be out of touch for a while.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend and take time to remember the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform so we can enjoy the freedoms we take for granted today!

Yes, I'm Still Here!

Sorry I haven't written in a while, but I've been a busy girl!

I took mom, the grandmas and great grandmas out to eat on Mother's Day weekend. I was a very well-behaved little lady, if I do say so myself! Even my one-year-old cousin Gracie made a graceful appearance in the restaurant.

Last Friday, mom and dad took me to Lynchburg, and I took Uncle Dan and Aunt Christy out to eat in celebration of their graduation and first anniversary. On Saturday, we spent about five hours at Liberty University watching a bunch of people in black robes and funny hats parade around the floor of the Vines Center. Boy, was it LOUD in there! But, I'm proud of Uncle Dan and Aunt Christy for becoming real college graduates, like my mom and dad!

Yesterday, I got sprinkled (she means "dedicated" - ed.) at church! The minister said some things to my parents and then put his hand in a bowl of water and wet my head! He said it was to encourage my folks to raise me in the church and hope that I'll choose God's ways when I grow up. I know lots of people are already praying that I will.

I'm posting some new photos below, so be sure to check them out. Hope to see you soon!

Downtown Show and Tell

Mom and Dad just took me for my first visit downtown! We went to Granddaddy's office and he carried me around for a half-hour showing me off to lots of people. They all said I was adorable and kept touching my feet!

I tried to spit my pacifier down the elevator shaft, but just missed. Dad washed it off for me and plugged me back up. Granddaddy fed me my bottle and I slept through the rest of the visit.

While we were going back to the car, a fire truck went by on the street with its siren going, but they tell me even that didn't wake me up! I guess I got my deep sleeping habits from my Dad!

In just a few hours, I'll be FOUR WEEKS OLD! Can you believe it? Before you know it, I'll be ready for my first steak! I can't wait!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, Holocaust Remembrance Day and National Day of Prayer!
