Christmas Time's A-Comin'!

Know what?

Santa Claus comes in less than TWO WEEKS! I can't wait! He's going to bring me a play kitchen, and some diapers and wipes for my baby doll!

I've been so excited, I forgot to write to you, so I'll try to catch up tonight. The biggest news around our house is the arrival of my brand-new baby sister, Morgan Anne! I love her very, very much and am happy to be a Big Sister!

She even has her own blog site, so check it out, if you haven't already. It's at: www.babymorgananne.blogspot.com

She'll be one month old tomorrow and she opens her eyes all the time now. Mommy says she's not sleeping as much at night as I did when I was a baby. But, she's still a good kid (unless she's hungry or needs to be changed. Yuk!)

I've got LOTS of pictures for you to see, so, I'll stop writing now and let you look at them. Have a very Merry Christmas and remember, the baby Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

Love,

Jayme Lynn

Fall Has Fallen!

Hi, everybody! Jayme Lynn here with an update for all my friends!

We've been enjoying the changing colors of the leaves on the trees and the cooler weather. Around here, fall means two things: the State Fair and Family Reunions!

Daddy, Mommy, Grammy, Granddaddy and I went to the State Fair one night and had lots of fun! I got to ride on a boat and a car and even got to go down a big slide with Granddaddy and Daddy holding my hands! Daddy slipped off of his rug on the way down and came to a sudden stop! I got to eat a corn dog and we saw some racing pigs. There were lots of lights and colors and smells and sounds. You can even see a movie we took posted below. Just click on the little arrow and it's just like you were there!

Granddaddy, Grammy, Mommy and I went to the Reunion at Lake Gaston. Daddy had to work so he couldn't go this time. Know what? I caught my first fish! Uncle Greg took the canoe out on the lake and didn't even get a nibble. I put my line in the water by the pier and got a fish the first time! I was proud of it, but it was too little to eat, so we threw him back so he could grow some and I'll catch him again next year!

I had fun playing on the shore with Cousin Caroline. She showed me how to throw big handfuls of mud into the lake! We took time out for lunch, which was hot dogs with chili, hamburgers, potato salad and lots of desserts. It was great! Then, we all got together for a group picture. Gigi was there and so was Uncle Dale! I also got to swing in a hammock!

Know what happens in just three weeks from today? I get my baby sister, Morgan! I can't wait! Mommy says she can't wait, either!

Love,

Jayme Lynn

School Daze

Hi, folks!

I've only been in preschool for a couple of weeks and I feel smarter already! My preschool is at my church, so I already know the buildings and some of the people there. Plus, Mommy is working part-time at the church, so I get to see her in the hallways now and then. I'm having a ball! Learning stuff is so much fun!

We went out to dinner Saturday night for GiGi's birthday (She's one of my two Great Grandmothers). We had a good time and we sang, "Happy Birthday" and GiGi opened presents we gave her. Mommy and Daddy couldn't be there because they were at the hospital, where Mommy was sick with the same kind of virus I had last week! You don't think she got it from me, do you? Anyway, they're home now. I hope Daddy doesn't get it, now! It's no fun being sick!

Toby (he's my new puppy) and I got to spend the night with Ditty and Grammy at their house and I got to sleep in a Big Girl bed! Grammy says it's more than 50 years old and lots and lots of children have slept in it! (I hope she changed the sheets!)

We're getting so excited about having a new baby in the house! Morgan Anne should be here about two months from now and Mommy and Daddy already have her room ready (see picture below). They did a real good job on the room and I know Morgan will just love it!

Are you ready for fall? The nights are already getting chilly around here and the days are getting shorter. I can't wait to play in the leaves!

Talk to you soon!

Love,

Jayme Lynn

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Hi, everybody!

Know what? Wednesday is my Daddy's 29th birthday! Except, we had his birthday party yesterday so more people could be there.

First of all, I got to spend Friday night and most of Saturday with Grammy and Ditty, so Mommy and Daddy could clean house for the party! It was HOT yesterday, so I let Ditty get in my pool with me. We had fun except when he got in, most of the water got out! The picture below is kinda fuzzy because Grammy's camera lens got foggy when she brought it outdoors. We had fun anyway!

We had lots of people over at my house for the party: Mommy and Daddy and Grandma and Ma and GiGi and Ditty and Grammy and my Great Uncle Greg and Aunt Karen and Caroline and my cousins, Chloe, and Arion and Raven. Grammy got us a three-foot-long submarine sandwich and Mommy made Daddy a chocolate cake with baseball men on it (He likes baseball, especially the Red Sox!)

Oh, and GUESS WHAT! We got a NEW PUPPY for Daddy's birthday, too! His name is Toby and he's a Peekachoo! He's going to be an indoor doggie because he's not going to get very big. He's so soft and has a cute little face. We have fun playing together!

Know what? I start Nursery School next week! It's in my church and I'll get to color and learn things and meet new friends. I can't wait! I'll tell you all about it next time.

Love,

Jayme Lynn

Back from the Beach

Hi, y'all! (that's the way they talk down south, where we went to the beach!)

We've been back home for a week, but I haven't had time to catch you up yet!

Boy, did we have a great time at Myrtle Beach! Granddaddy says I have no fear of the waves and I wanted to walk out into the ocean by myself (but the grownups wouldn't let me!)

My cousin Abbey went with us and we had lots of matching outfits to wear (see photos below). I spent a lot of time teaching her how to walk and talk and do all the things big girls do. I think she's coming right along!

We went to the beach in the mornings and took naps in the afternoons. Even the grownups took naps and nobody made them do it! I wonder why?

Then, somedays we went to the pool near the place where we stayed. One time, we went to "Broadway at the Beach" and it was HOT, HOT, HOT! I got to sit in a GIANT CHAIR and have my picture taken!

We all went to a seafood buffet one night and I got to eat as much as I wanted to! I think my favorite seafood is ice cream!

We went out on a fishing pier one night, but nobody was catching anything. There was something at the end of the pier that smelled real bad and it wasn't even Abbey's diaper! Mommy doesn't like certain smells now that she's going to have a baby.

Oh, GUESS WHAT?!? I'm going to have a baby SISTER! We just found out that there's a little girl growing up inside of Mommy and they already have a name for her! It's Morgan Anne! Isn't that a pretty name? I can't WAIT to meet her in November! I have lots of old clothes she can wear, so she won't have to worry about that! So, keep Mommy and Morgan in your prayers so everything will come out alright!

Anyway, I really liked the beach and can't wait to go back! Next time we go, Morgan will be able to go swimming with us! Won't that be fun?

Time to go nite-nite. Hope you enjoy my pictures!

Love,

Jayme Lynn

Happy Father's Day!

Hi, folks!

It's been a long time since I posted anything and I've been a very busy girl!

Back on Memorial Day weekend, Grammy, Ma and I went downtown to see Granddaddy at his work and he took us out to lunch at the State Capitol! We saw a big statue of President George Washington! We also saw some tall ships down on the James River that were there for the 400th Anniversary of our country!

Know what? Daddy and Mommy got me a new swimming pool and we put it up in Grammy's backyard and I got in it one day when Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner. Granddaddy had just finished painting the house, so he came over and joined me! He says he used to do the same thing with Daddy in his pool when he was my age!

Granddaddy's church had a picnic on the day before Memorial Day and they invited us, too! I got to eat lots of strawberries (my favorite) and hot dogs and potato chips. We saw some Canada Geese again, and we had a great time! I got to walk over to the swings with Daddy and we played and played and played!

We had a big party on Memorial Day at Granddaddy's house and we also had his birthday party there because his real birthday was just a few days before. We both got in my pool again to cool off!

Guess what! Last night, Mommy and Daddy went out to eat for their 5th Anniversary and I stayed with Granddaddy and Grammy and we made chocolate oatmeal cookies together! My favorite part was eating out of the peanut butter jar while the cookies were cooking!

And then, know what? Today, we went out to eat for Father's Day and I gave Daddy a t-shirt that says he's the World's Greatest Father! I think he really is, too! I got scrambled eggs and dipped them in ketchup. Yum, yum! I tried to be careful not to get any ketchup on my new princess dress that I wore out to eat. Everybody kept smiling at me and saying how pretty I looked!

And, guess what? Grandma has moved into her new apartment and it's just a couple of minutes from our house! She has a pool, and everything and she says we can use it anytime we want to! I hope I can get to see her a lot more, now that she doesn't live so far away!

Oh, well, it's getting sleepy in here, so I'd better go to bed, now. Thanks for stopping by!

Love,

Jayme Lynn

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you had a good Mother's Day. We sure did!

After church, we took Mommy, Grammy, Ma, G-G (Great-Grandma) and Aunt Gail out to eat. We usually go to Julian's, but they closed down, so we went to Max and Erma's. We had some good food and even a cake that Aunt Gail brought to the restaurant!

Last night, we went to the cemetery to see Pappy's gravesite and also to feed the ducks. Except they didn't have any ducks, but just two families of geese. They were so cute! They ate our bread, even though it was stale! Granddaddy and Daddy saw a rabbit and Daddy tried to get a picture of it with his new cellphone camera.

We've been able to see Granddaddy and Grammy EVERY DAY for the past two weeks because the air conditioning went out at our house and we're staying with them! Every night and on the weekends, I get to play outside with Granddaddy and he puts me to bed every night. We have a game we play where I hide Andy's bottle (Andy is one of my doll babies) and Granddaddy tries to find it. He's so funny and I laugh at him a lot!

Mommy hasn't been feeling too good some days because of my little brother or sister growing in her tummy. And Daddy slipped on a wet floor at work the other day and his elbow and back are sore. We had to buy a new tire and a new air conditioner for Mommy's car. Daddy says, "When it rains, it pours," but I haven't seen a lot of rain, so I don't know what he's talking about!

Nite-nite!

Love,

Jayme Lynn

Happy Birthday To Me!

I really think I'm going to like being TWO YEARS OLD!

Saturday was my birthday and we had a party at Diddy and Grammy's house. Grammy made posters with pictures of my first two years and put them up in the dining room. My, how I've grown in just two years!

I got lots of nice presents and I'm having lots of fun playing with them (and wearing them!). Daddy and Mommy gave me a doll house with a daddy, mommy, baby, a bathtub, a potty, and a doorbell and telephone that you can push to make real sounds!

'Member last year, when Mommy made me an Elmo cake and I ate it with my hands? This year, Mommy made me a Cookie Monster cake and I used a fork (I'm more of a lady now!) It was delicious!

But, Elmo was still a special guest at my party! I got a blow-up Elmo that's as tall as I am! He had a little fan in his back that kept him blown up for the whole party!

I was pretty tired Saturday night, after my Chuck E. Cheese party and then the other one!

Know what? The Easter Bunny came to my house Saturday night and he left me a basket with lots of candy! Did he come to see you, too?

We got up and got dressed in our Easter clothes, then went to church. I made Diddy wear my Easter hat and people kept pointing at us and laughing. I thought he looked good in my hat!

I stayed in the nursery and we heard all about Jesus coming back to life on Easter morning. I'm sure glad He did, aren't you?

After church, we all went to Ma's house and had an Easter dinner, with ham and turkey and green beans and dressing and gravy and my new favorite: cranberry sauce! After lunch, we gave Grammy a birthday cake that Ma had made because Wednesday will be Grammy's birthday! I hope she has as good a time celebrating her birthday as I did mine!

Sunday afternoon, we went over to Caroline Grace's house and had an Easter Egg Hunt in her backyard. She and I got a head start over the bigger kids and we got lots of plastic eggs with surprises inside! It was kind of cold outside, so I had to wear a jacket.

All in all, it was quite a weekend and I'm already looking forward to next year, when I turn THREE!

Love,

Jayme Lynn
