Happy Holidays!

We had Thanksgiving at our new home yesterday!

We had turkey and gravy, grandma's famous pineapple dressing, sweet potatoes, corn pudding, cranberry sauce, potato salad, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls with real butter! For dessert, we had chips and dip, three kinds of apple pie, great-grandma's famous "chocolate stuff", pumpkin pie, pecan pie, chocolate mint pie, chocolate cream pie and Grammy's famous oatmeal cookies!

Actually, only the Big People had that stuff. I had my usual strained chicken, sweet potatoes and bananas. But I was thankful for that, too! Most of all I'm thankful for Jesus, who was a baby just like me once! I wonder if he liked strained bananas as much as me?

My latest trick is rolling over from front to back and back to front. Now, I can roll all the way across the den floor and get wherever I want to!

Today, Mommy and Daddy got up before it got light outside and dropped me off at Granddaddy and Grandmommy's to spend the day. The folks said they were going to "hit the malls", whatever that means. I hope they don't hurt themselves!

Thanks for visiting. Come back soon!

What A Busy Month!

Things are really happening fast around here, but I'll try to bring you up to date!

Halloween was just AWESOME! I got to dress up like Piglet and know what? You just go up to people's houses and they GIVE YOU CANDY FOR FREE! What a country! Mommy let me have my first Tootsie Roll Pop (photo below) but took it away before I could lick down to the center!

The other day, we went to a shopping mall and I got to sit on Santa's lap to have my picture taken! Mommy and Daddy said it was early for him to be at the mall, but they were glad the line to see him was short! I hope he can find our new house at Christmas! We've got a real chimney and everything! Grandmommy even bought me a stocking with my name on it!

My latest trick is to turn over on my stomach while I'm sleeping. And I can also sit up all by myself without any pillows to help hold me up! What a big girl I am!

Granddaddy and Grammy came over tonight for dinner and helped Daddy put up some shelves in my room for all of my stuffed animals. Except I don't know how I'm going to reach them all the way up there!?!

They've really done a lot to fix up our new house. Daddy still has a few leaves to rake and Mommy is still hanging pictures on the walls. They're trying to get everything ready because we're having everybody over at our house for Thanksgiving this year! Mommy says I can have the drumstick, whatever that means, but I think she's just kidding!

Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope to see you soon!

Fall Festival

Tonight, we went to Fall Festival at my grandparents' church and had a blast! I wore my Piglet costume and got to eat my first snow-cone! (Mommy ate most of it). There were hundreds of other kids there, all dressed up and playing games and stuff.

Daddy taught me to do "razzberries!" Some people call it the "Bronx Cheer." So now, I can stick out my tongue and make a noise with my mouth at the same time! Mommy isn't very happy with Daddy. She wants him to teach me stuff like how to "wave bye-bye."

We got my Christmas pictures back already and everybody thinks they're absolutely adorable! I'll send you a Christmas card with my picture on it so you can see for yourself! For now, you'll have to settle for the new photos below.

Bye-bye for now!

New Digs!

Well, we're finally moved into our NEW HOUSE! It's AWESOME!

Mommy and Granddaddy picked it out while Daddy was in the hospital. They must have done a good job because Daddy BOUGHT IT! (He says somebody named More-Gij really owns it, but they're going to let us live there!)

It's HUGE! It has four stories and five bedrooms and two bathrooms and a den and a living room and a kitchen and a dining room and a utility room and closets and I already have my stuff spread out in every room!

Guess what? The nice lady next door just brought home a baby boy who was born the day before we moved in! We might get to be playmates!

And there are some more little kids who live across the street from us! We're going to have so much fun together!

Know what? Daddy taught me how to hold my own bottle yesterday! He says I'm a BIG GIRL, now!

Daddy had to work tonight and Mommy went to her Bible Study Group, so Granddaddy and Grandmommy came by to babysit me. We had lots of fun until I had to go to bed. (But I did get to stay up until 8:00 so I could play with them.)

What do you think of my new pictures below? Ain't I a cutie?

Bye-bye!

Let's Play!

My First Family Reunion

Today was my first time, but Granddaddy says it was the 20th Family Reunion held annually at Lake Gaston! The weather was gorgeous! Boy, did we have a house-full of kids! There was Kirby, Jameson, Brandon, Natalie, Elizabeth, Priscilla, Isaiah, Joshua, and Anna! I didn't know I had so many cousins!

They had some big kids there, named Susan, James, Terri, Laura, Stephen, Kimberly & Beverly (the twins), Andrea, Kirby (today was her 21st birthday!), Sara, Camryn (and her friend Cheyenne) and Jenny.

Some even bigger kids there were "Little Jimmy," Kay (it was her brother's lake house), Doug, Laura, Larry, Maude, Windell, Grandmommy, Uncle Dale, Uncle Greg and Aunt Karen.

And one of my Great Grandmas was there, too! That's a lot of people and it got noisy sometimes. Especially when I was trying to take a nap and everybody was eating lunch! They had hot dogs with chili, cheeseburgers, North Carolina barbecue, brunswick stew, blackeyed peas, potato salad, macaroni & cheese, and lots and lots of desserts, too!

I won first prize for being the youngest one there, but Anna came in second, 'cause she's three months older than me (see picture of us below). She knows how to sit up, eat Cheerios and EVERYTHING!

I got to swing on an outdoor swing for the first time! Mommy pushed me and I giggled the whole time! Granddaddy says he bought me one at a yard sale and he's going to put it up for me soon!

Some people went "tubing" behind a boat on the lake, but Mommy wouldn't let Granddaddy take me. He told me we'll have to wait until she's not looking before we can have some REAL fun! (But don't tell her. It's our little secret!)

I was sad because Daddy couldn't come with us. He had to work today. And Aunt Christy and Uncle Dan weren't there, either, because they're in Dallas. I'll get to see them at Christmas.

TTFN! (ta-ta for now!)
