Fabulous February!

Wow! A lot has happened since I last posted!

First, came the Super Bowl and we all watched the Big Game over at Granddaddy and Grammy's house. I got to sit in the den with the men (Daddy and Granddaddy). They even let me sit between them up on the console so I could see better! They weren't glued to the TV, since neither the Cowboys or Redskins were playing anyway.

Then, we got to go to the Circus! They had lots and lots of animals like tigers and elephants and zebras and doggies and horsies! And they had lots of loud music and pretty lights! And I got to see lots of Jo-Jo's, too. Mommy calls them clowns, but they all look like Jo-Jo to me!

It was hard to sit still, so I didn't! Mommy and Granddaddy took turns taking me out in the hallway for walks sometimes. Grammy and Grandmommy were there, too, but they mostly stayed in their seats. How boring! I mostly liked the steps and Granddaddy and I one time walked all the way to very the top of the Coliseum! But they had some locked doors up there, so we had to come back down.

Granddaddy bought me some cotton candy that came with a big felt hat. Bello the Clown came over to our seats and he gave Granddaddy a hat that looks like Bello's hair, straight up and down (see the funny picture below)!

I didn't feel too good for a few days last week. They say I had a virus, but all I know is that I had a temperature of 102 and I had to take a bath to bring it down! The doctor said lots of kids my age are getting this, so we didn't worry too much.

Then, last night, we went out to eat to celebrate Mommy's and Uncle Greg's birthdays. Mommy says her's was a BIG ONE, but I'm not supposed to say which one. Uncle Greg was a Leap Year baby, so he turns 10 1/2 Wednesday night at midnight! He sure is big for his age! His daughter Caroline and I had a great time at Tanglewood Ordinary, where we ate a family-style dinner. We ran round and round a telephone pole they had sticking right out of the floor! But, first, we ate pork barbecue and country ham and biscuits and corn bread and blackeyed peas and stewed tomatoes and fried chicken and cole slaw and smashed potatoes and gravy and green beans and THEN, we had peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was a good thing Caroline and I got in free, because I don't think we ate as much as the grownups did. (Now, I know why they're called grownups...they groaned all the way to the car!)

Have a great week and come visit again soon!

Love,

Jayme Lynn
