Whew! What a weekend!I'm still recovering from the Best Birthday Ever! Thanks, Mom and Dad and everybody else who worked to make my first birthday the greatest! On Friday, my real birthday, we all went to Chuck E. Cheese and I got to ride on all of their rides (see pictures below). There were lots and lots of other kids, even some with the same birthday as me! I even got to kiss Chuck on the nose! But Saturday was the Big Day. I invited 45 people to my birthday party and they came from all over. Daddy cooked chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs for everybody. They even rented a Moon Walk blow-up thing that the older kids bounced around in! I got to see lots of my aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. They gave me lots and lots of presents and I have enough new clothes to fill out my spring ensemble! I think the best part, though, was when Mommy let me dig into the Elmo cake she made me. That was FUN! We all laughed when she took me upstairs for a bath afterwards! It's been quite a year and I can't believe I'm One already! I'm sorry I haven't updated my blog enough for some of you. But, Granddaddy says, this year, he'll send you an e-mail when I update it, if you want him to. Just send your address to: RDavis456@comcast.net and he'll put you on the list. That way, you won't have to check my site every day. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a Blessed Easter!
Well, I'm talking up a storm these days! Of course, most people can't understand what I'm saying, but I can!I know how to say "Da-Da" and "Ma-Ma" and I've just learned my first sentence: "Thank you!"Everybody laughs when I say it, so I just keep on saying it! I went to the doctor with Daddy last week and when the doctor started poking on his stomach, I cried and cried! That's MY job and nobody pokes MY daddy in the tummy but ME!I've got two teeth and a third one on the way. Don't put your finger in my mouth unless you want me to put a serious hurt on it!One thing I don't remember how to do is to sit still! When I'm awake, I have to be on the go! The other night, Granddaddy got down on the floor with me and we crawled all over the house! We stopped in the kitchen for a while and had a great time. I loved pulling the grocery bags out and throwing them around. Then, we found a tin roasting pan and some Tupperware bowls and had a drum concert right there in the kitchen! I like things that make lots of noise. Then, we found my diaper bag and I pulled everything out of it. Then, I found a chess set made of glass and tried to eat the pawns, but Grammy wouldn't let me. I'm getting ready to have my first real birthday party ever and I'll post some pictures in case you can't make it. Can you believe it? I'll be ONE YEAR OLD on April 7! Look at my new pictures and I hope to see you real soon!
Monday was Mommy's birthday! She's 29 years old! That's ANCIENT!Next week it's my Great Uncle Greg's birthday. He'll be 10 1/2 and boy, is he big for his age! Daddy says Greg is a Leap Year baby, whatever that means.Anyway, since they're so close together, we had a combined birthday party for Mommy and Greg at Greg's house last Saturday. We had lots of cake and ice cream and I got to see my second cousins Camryn, Jenny and Caroline. Granddaddy read a book to me and Caroline at the same time (he has two knees, you know!) There's a picture of all of us below. On Monday, Mommy's REAL birthday, it was a holiday, so Granddaddy babysat for me while Daddy went shopping and bought Mommy bunches of balloons, flowers and other stuff. They went out to eat Monday night and Mommy got a big pork chop and Daddy got a steak. I only have one tooth, so they won't let me have any leftovers! But, they are feeding me more stuff from the table and I feel like a big girl when I get to eat what the big people are eating! Grammy says she doesn't know where I put it all!My latest trick is climbing up stairs, so Daddy and Granddaddy put up a gate to keep me from leaving the den. I don't understand why they were so happy to see me climb stairs and now they won't let me do it! Grownups are strange!See you later!
Yep, I turned Ten Months Old today! Ain't I somethin'?The folks and I went over the river to Granddaddy and Grammy's yesterday to watch the Super Bowl together. It was lots of fun, but I spent most of the time crawling around on the floor, trying to pick up pieces of lint and put them in my mouth without anyone seeing me! Grammy calls me her little vacuum cleaner! Now that I'm old, I get to have big people food from the table, like crackers and banana bits and my favorite, SMASHED POTATOES! (look at me eating them below) I specially like chasing things around on my high chair tray, trying to pick them up. This sure beats that stuff in those little jars!I like to climb up on things so I can see better. Sometimes I fall down, but I get up again (hey, that could be a song!) Daddy went back to work today, but his tummy still doesn't feel good all the time. Mommy stayed home with me yesterday because her ear hurt. I have to stay healthy so I can take care of them!I learned how to untie my shoes and even undo the Velcro straps, so Mommy found me some Nikes that I can't get out of! But, I'll keep trying!Hey, guess what? I'm going to have a brand-new cousin this fall! Aunt Christy and Uncle Daniel liked playing with me so much during Christmas that they asked the stork to bring them a baby, too! I'm so excited! I'll have to teach him or her the ropes when he or she gets here! Thanks for stopping by and keep warm. It's cold outside!
