Happy Summer!

Wow, am I ever having a good time in this warm weather! Mommy lets me wear shorts and, sometimes, no shoes or socks! It's GREAT!

Daddy found out about an outdoor movie being shown at a park, so we took Granddaddy and Grammy there, but we couldn't find the movie. Then, Daddy found out it was the NEXT night, so we just had a picnic instead! Granddaddy picked some sassafras and he let me smell it and it smelled real good! He says the leaves look like mittens and he learned that from his daddy.

This past weekend, we got to spend time at a house on the river owned by a nice lady who contributed to an auction at the school where Mommy works. Daddy won the auction and we took Grandma there last Thursday. On Friday, Granddaddy, Grammy, Uncle Daniel and Aunt Christy came down to join us and we had a great time! Mommy brought a little swimming pool for me in case I didn't like swimming in the river, but I wanted to swim with the big people. So, I floated in a plastic rocket ship Granddaddy brought for me. Mommy and Daddy floated in old tire tubes.

We bought some crabs at a local store and, when we heated them in the oven, it smelled worse than some of my diapers! But, the big people ate them, anyway. Grandma got some steamed spiced shrimp to eat instead of the crabs and Aunt Christy got some giant crab legs!

Then, we had a birthday party for Uncle Daniel (he turned 25 years old!) We gave him a shirt and Granddaddy and Grammy gave him a box of Seinfeld DVDs. He and Aunt Christy watched the DVDs on his laptop computer on the airplane home!

On Sunday, we had a party for Aunt Christy, Uncle Daniel and cousin Abbey. People came from all over and I got to swim in a little pool with my cousins Caroline and McKinley! (Abbey can't swim yet, because she hasn't been borned.) I can't wait until Christmas when all four of us girls can hang out together!

Hope you enjoy the pictures below. I'm posting more than usual because so many of them turned out good!

See you later!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today was my first time at the swimming pool! We went with Granddaddy and Grammy and had a GREAT time! I got to wear my new hat, my new sunglasses and spend time in my new whale float! The water was cold at first, but I got used to it! I got tubes in my ears now, so I have to wear some earplugs when I go in the water, but I don't mind. Mommy says she and I are going to spend lots and lots of time at the pool this summer! I'll be "brown as a berry," just like my Aunt Christy used to get when she was my age! I've got lots of teeth now, so I've started eating peanut butter 'n jelly samwiches, just like my Daddy does. No more of that baby food for me!

After we came home from the pool, Great Aunt Gail and my Great Grandma ("Ma") came over and we had a cookout, with hot dogs, and chicken, and beans, and macaroni, and corn, and lots of other good stuff. Everybody was wearing red, white and blue to help remember the soldiers who gave their lives so we could be free!

Grammy made me a cushion for our fireplace hearth and that's become my favorite place to play! I bring my toys up there and sit like the queen of the castle! You can see me playing hide and seek up there with Mommy in one of the pictures below.

I also like to stand at the back door and bang on the glass, so Daddy and Granddaddy put in a new storm door for me. I helped with the instructions (see photo below).

I'm learning how to walk by pushing my car around the den. It won't be long before I won't need anything to hold on to!

I hope you had a good holiday weekend and will come see me real soon!

Yeah, I'm Cool...So What?

Happy Mother's Day!

We took Mommy, Grammy, Great Grammy, Great Grandma and Great Aunt Gail out to lunch after church today for Mother's Day! (Daddy, Granddaddy and Aunt Katie came along, too!) I got to sit in a booster seat at the table with the big people! It was a lot more fun than that old high chair! Besides, I like to eat little pieces of Mommy's food better than that stuff in the jar, anyway! I hope you had a good Mother's Day, too!

Yesterday, I got to stay with Miz Robin while Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding. I got to play with their little dog, "Grace" and we had a great time! We had a present to give Miz Robin, but Granddaddy took it to the wedding reception by mistake and left it on the table with the wedding gifts! They're still laughing about that one!

I've got lots of new teeth and Mommy calls me "Jaws," because I like to crawl up to her and bite down on an arm or a leg! She's very tasty!

I've been pretty healthy, but it's getting hard to hear people talking and my ears have started hurting. Mommy says I'm going to see a doctor on Tuesday to see about getting tubes put in my ears to help me hear better. Daddy says it's no big deal because he had the same thing done when he was a kid.

Grammy gave me my first haircut the other day and she didn't even charge me! Mommy saved some of the hair for some reason. I told her it will grow back, anyway!

I got to play in my sandbox for the first time yesterday. I grabbed a handful of the stuff and tried eating it, but Mommy said it's not good for me. So, we just poured it in a bucket and wriggled our toes in it. That was fun! And Granddaddy put up a swing on a tree limb in our front yard for me. I like to swing high!

We also found out I'm going to have another baby girl to play with next door! The mommy just found out she's going to have a baby in September. She already has three babies under three years old and said something about having her tubes "tied." I hope they don't tie up the ones in my ears!

Nite-nite!

Happy Mommy's Day, Grammy!

Another Playmate On The Way!

Hooray!

They just found out that my new cousin to be born this fall is a GIRL, JUST LIKE ME! Her name is Abigail and we're going to call her Abbey for short! She already has her own blog at -- http://abbeymack.blogspot.com Check it out!

I can't WAIT until Christmas when Abbey, McKinley and I will all get to play together for the first time!

Let's see...I'll get some new clothes and hand down some of my old clothes to McKinley and McKinley will get some new clothes and hand down some of her old clothes to Abbey. We can play "dress-up" forever!

On a sad note, I went to my first funeral last week. My Great-Great Aunt Margie went to Heaven. I never got to meet her, but Granddaddy says she was a special lady and she LOVED kids because she never had any of her own. It was a nice service. I tried to be quiet, but Mommy and I had to leave early anyway.

After the funeral, we got to go to Parker's, home of the World's Best Barbecue! Daddy, Granddaddy, Great-Uncle Dale and Great-Uncle Greg all got Large Combinations, which included chopped pork barbecue, fried chicken, cole slaw, brunswick stew, boiled potatoes, hush puppies and corn sticks. Yum, yum! I have a couple of new teeth and thought I could dig in like the big people, but they said I had to stick with my baby food for now.

Only one picture to post this time. I'll have more for you next time. See you soon!

A Large Combination, Of Course!

He Is Risen!

Even though I was born in April, this was my first Easter!

I went to see a giant Easter Bunny at our local shopping mall and got to sit in his lap. I wasn't scared at all...until he put his giant paw on me and that's when I screamed for Mommy!

On Sunday, Mommy, Daddy and I went to the early service at our church and saw an Easter Egg Hunt they had afterwards. Then, we came to Granddaddy and Grammy's church for their service. Finally, went to my Great Grammy's house for Easter dinner.
The big people had lots of good stuff like ham, Jello salad, sweet potatoes and White House rolls. Mommy gave me some of her roll and some sweet potatoes.

Then, we went out in the front yard for pictures. The ground was wet, so Daddy got me a piece of cardboard to sit on next to the flowers. Grammy gave me some plastic eggs and a basket to play with and it was lots of fun!

Granddaddy and Grammy gave me a fuzzy singing chicken for Easter, too!

Give Thanks for God's Beauty!
