Wow, am I ever having a good time in this warm weather! Mommy lets me wear shorts and, sometimes, no shoes or socks! It's GREAT!
Daddy found out about an outdoor movie being shown at a park, so we took Granddaddy and Grammy there, but we couldn't find the movie. Then, Daddy found out it was the NEXT night, so we just had a picnic instead! Granddaddy picked some sassafras and he let me smell it and it smelled real good! He says the leaves look like mittens and he learned that from his daddy.
This past weekend, we got to spend time at a house on the river owned by a nice lady who contributed to an auction at the school where Mommy works. Daddy won the auction and we took Grandma there last Thursday. On Friday, Granddaddy, Grammy, Uncle Daniel and Aunt Christy came down to join us and we had a great time! Mommy brought a little swimming pool for me in case I didn't like swimming in the river, but I wanted to swim with the big people. So, I floated in a plastic rocket ship Granddaddy brought for me. Mommy and Daddy floated in old tire tubes.
We bought some crabs at a local store and, when we heated them in the oven, it smelled worse than some of my diapers! But, the big people ate them, anyway. Grandma got some steamed spiced shrimp to eat instead of the crabs and Aunt Christy got some giant crab legs!
Then, we had a birthday party for Uncle Daniel (he turned 25 years old!) We gave him a shirt and Granddaddy and Grammy gave him a box of Seinfeld DVDs. He and Aunt Christy watched the DVDs on his laptop computer on the airplane home!
On Sunday, we had a party for Aunt Christy, Uncle Daniel and cousin Abbey. People came from all over and I got to swim in a little pool with my cousins Caroline and McKinley! (Abbey can't swim yet, because she hasn't been borned.) I can't wait until Christmas when all four of us girls can hang out together!
Hope you enjoy the pictures below. I'm posting more than usual because so many of them turned out good!
See you later!
