Well, we're home now, after a week at Nag's Head beach. Got lots of photos (see below).
The trip down was exciting, to say the least! Our van had a blowout (not the diaper kind) and we had to buy two new tires. I'm thankful nobody was hurt (except for Dad's wallet!)
We all stayed in a three-story beach cottage about a block from the beach in Kill Devil Hills. The water in the pool and on the beach was too cold to get in, but the hot-tub was just right (or so they tell me...I'm supposedly too young to get in).
It rained for the last half of the week, so we spent lots of time shopping and playing Spades. Aunt Christy took over the nightwatch with me for Mom and Dad one night. We got to see a beautiful sunrise!
I got to spend a lot of time with Granddaddy and Grandmommy and they kept trying to get me to smile at them. Once in a while, I gave in and cracked one for them. They make the silliest faces!
Mom gave me a bath in the kitchen sink with EVERYBODY WATCHING! (how humiliating!) Dad and I played a round of putt-putt (no flatulence jokes, please) with me hanging on his chest in my Snuggly. Talk about a handicap!
Aunt Christy wants us all to go to the beach together every other year, so I guess we'll go back in 2007. I'm already saving my pennies to help out!
